[New Zealand]Say it with shells - Shell feature wall hanging
Wall hanging frames feature mother of pearl shell carving.
This piece of exquisite art is carved from the black lipped mother of pearl shell. It features a fish hook that was said to be worned in ancient time by Indigenous Cook Islanders as a talisman and taken on fishing trips for good luck.
It is adorned with cinnet, a local fibure used for making commonly ropes. In the ancient days it had multiple uses, whereby it was used to make shoes, clothing, fishing reel and so forth.
This is a perfect piece for any room in the house or business, also makes an excellent gift for friends or loved one.
It is set on black background in a wooden frame.
We also offer four background colours - you may choose white, green, blue or a black background. All shell work is carved individually therefore each is unique.
